Gore-Tex is a technical membrane which is both waterproof and breathable; this membrane looks like human skin. Billions of microscopic pores block wind and humidity at the same time allowing perspiration (as water vapour) to evaporate to the outside, guaranteeing active comfort whatever the weather.
